Welcome to the CMS Great Plains Chapter!

 Welcome to the homepage for the CMS Great Plains Chapter. Established in 1981, the Great Plains Chapter includes over 500 members from Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and southern South Dakota.
The annual conference for our chapter includes paper presentations, lecture-recitals, CMS composers' concerts, student papers and compositions, a keynote speaker, our annual business meeting, and a rare chance to visit and learn with colleagues from all over the region. By holding the conference within the Great Plains boundaries, we encourage you to attend and experience this professional conference that is easily reached and affordable.
You will be notified when we issue a Call for Participation in the fall of each year, athough you need not present at the conference to attend. If you do choose to submit a proposal, all topics related to college music teaching are welcome. Complete conference details are posted on the web site as soon as they are available.
If you would like to participate more actively in the Great Plains Chapter, please contact me. Opportunities are available for you to serve as an officer, a committee member, a representative of a particular population (students, retired members), a newsletter editor, or in any other capacity that might interest you.
