How do we use this group??

The name of the group says it all, for me. I am looking for college professorial work in jazz studies, big band jazz, musical acoustics, physics of music, et al.

What I haven't sorted out is how is a group of folks who are ALL looking for JOBS going to help each other find those jobs?


I am sincerely open to ideas.

Though I have been a member of the Society a few months, I only joined this "group" this morning as I am trying to get my profile, etc. set up.

Regarding your question...I think I see your point. I am teaching now (and have been the past 4 years) as an adjunct at a college while I "up" my degree as other colleges have expressed interest. In my own case, it is due to having a strong "industry" (their word) background as well as a "serious" (concert music) background. I too am open to ideas.
I know that may not help you much, but I am looking forward to more discussion on this.
