The Instructional Technologies and Methodologies (ITM) component of Symposium provides a comprehensive review of historic, current, and emerging instructional technologies and methodologies useful for teaching in the classroom and studio. ITM also provides opportunity for commentary and discussion.
The Instructional Technologies and Methodologies component meets the need of musicians and music teachers for (1) information concerning historic, recent, and emerging hardware, software, methods, resources, and approaches relevant to classroom and studio music teaching, and (2) a fair and equitable assessment of these items.
The Editor welcomes at all times contributions from the CMS membership. ITM seeks practical, brief, to-the-point reviews written in an informal, readable style. Articles that feature new information, humor, and fresh insights and perspectives concerning the use of music technology in the classroom and studio are especially welcome.
Essays of any length are welcome. Graphics, images, video and sound files, and music examples that illuminate the text are welcome and encouraged. Submissions must be made via the members' area of website of The College Music Society. Guidelines for reviewers, as well as full instructions for submitting articles and materials for consideration, will be found therein. The receipt of submissions will be acknowledged by the Editor and notification of the article's status will be provided promptly.

Symposium cannot consider for publication anything that has been submitted simultaneously to another journal.
