Audio-Visual Provisions for the 2013 International Conference

Each conference presentation room will contain an amplified sound system and LCD projector for use with your laptop computer. Lecterns, microphones (as appropriate), and projection screens will also be present in each room. If you have additional audio-visual needs, you must provide your own equipment. Please note: Internet connections are not provided in presentation rooms.

All sound and video files must be played from your laptop. Component DVD and CD players will not be provided. You must provide your own laptop computer if one is required for your presentation, as computers will not be available through CMS for rental or loan. You will want to make certain the batteries are well charged, as access to electrical power is not always guaranteed. In the event that electrical power is available, please remember that Argentina is on the 220V standard rather than 110V so it is a good idea to bring a plug adaptor. Cables to connect your laptop to the audio (headphone jack) and/or projection equipment (VGA connection) will be provided; however, it is always a good idea to bring your own connectors as a backup. MAC users should bring their own Mini-DVI to VGA or Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter (whichever is appropriate for the computer being used) to connect to the LCD projectors. It is also recommended that you save your presentation to a flash drive or external memory device in the event of computer failure.

Participants may begin to prepare their area for their presentation during the question-and-answer time preceding their time slot. Five (5) minutes are also allotted between presentations for equipment setup and introductions. It is important that you have your display/demonstration materials ready in order to keep the conference running on time.
