Mission of CMS South Central
To promote music teaching and learning, musical creativity and expression, research and dialogue, and diversity and interdisciplinary interaction. Regional Chapters of CMS provide forums for the exchange of ideas on issues of local, regional, and national concern. The South Central Chapter specifically provides the opportunity for interaction by members residing within Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

As President of the CMS South Central Chapter I welcome you to our website! We have an active, vibrant, and diverse chapter and our website provides up-to-date information about our events. It also hosts our newsletter, essential chapter documents, lists of current Board Members and Campus Representatives, as well as our refereed journal.
As a very successful CMS chapter, we would like to welcome even more member participation and create even more membership diversity, especially among those of you who are new to any music profession. We welcome discussions on various issues and statements and articles in our newsletter as well as in our journal. We particularly encourage your active participation on our annual conference programs, and we look forward to your assistance, suggestions, and comments.
