Setting Up Your Music.Org Forwarding Address
The College Music Society is pleased to offer e-mail forwarding for CMS members, one that will enable musicians in the higher education community to use the highly coveted and convenient music.org domain name for email addresses.
You may register for and use the music.org email address of your choice. Mail received at this address will then be forwarded to the email address that is listed in your CMS membership record.
The forwarding email address you establish with CMS Email Forwarding will remain yours as long as your CMS membership is current. Should your present email account change -- perhaps because your current institution changes its email server name, you changed institutions, or because you changed Internet service providers -- you will be able to edit this information in your CMS membership record by logging in to the CMS Web site or by contacting the CMS Executive Office. Your address at CMS Email Forwarding will remain permanent and will not need to change.

Terms and Conditions of Use for Email Forwarding
1. CMS Email Forwarding is intended for non-commercial use. Members of The College Music Society are welcome to use CMS Email Forwarding for all professional and personal communications.
2. When submitting your request, you agree not to use the account until you have received email confirmation that the address is activated. Confirmation will be sent to you by email within three business days.
3. The CMS Email Forwarding address you establish with CMS remains yours as long as your membership is current. Following expiration of membership, the address is returned to the pool of addresses available to all CMS members.
4. Your address at CMS Email Forwarding remains permanent and need not change unless you want it to. However, should your present email account change (e.g., your institution changed its email server name, you changed institutions, or you changed Internet service providers) be sure to edit your account information in your CMS membership record. Otherwise, your mail will not be forwarded properly. Edit the information by logging into the CMS Web site at http://www.music.org or by calling the CMS Executive Office at (406) 721-9616.
5. CMS retains the right to reject the use of any email name that CMS, at its sole discretion, deems inappropriate or offensive.
6. The College Music Society requires that if a chosen alias consists of a first and last name, the name must be that of the applicant and not another person (e.g., John Doe may not sign up as This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ).
7. The College Music Society may discontinue this service at any time should it become necessary to do so for any reason.
Please submit the application for your @music.org email forwarding address. CMS Staff will notify you within three business days whether your application has been accepted.
