Dear ,
Each year, music educators from across the country bring their students, ensembles, and ideas to the annual conference of the Jazz Education Network (JEN).
Next year, that stage comes to Louisville–and we'd love to invite you to be part of it.
Applications are now open for educators and ensembles to perform, present, and share their work with a national audience of music educators, students, and artists.
Apply to Perform or Present
Whether you direct an ensemble, teach music at the collegiate level, or are exploring new ways to expand your program, you're invited to apply to:
-
Perform with your student or faculty ensemble
-
Present a clinic or educational session
-
Share innovative teaching ideas or research
Selected applicants become part of a nationally recognized conference program and join a vibrant community shaping the future of jazz education.

Bring Your Students Into the Experience
The JEN Conference is more than a performance—it's an opportunity for students to grow, connect, and be inspired.
In addition to performing or presenting, educators can involve their students through:
JENerations Jazz Festival (JJF)
Student ensembles perform and receive direct coaching from world-class jazz educators and artists in a supportive, non-competitive environment.
→ Explore the JENerations Jazz Festival
Intercollegiate Community College Honors Vocal Jazz Ensemble (ICCHVJE)
Community college vocal students can be nominated to participate in this prestigious national honors ensemble, performing at the conference.

Even If Jazz Isn't Your Specialty
Many educators who participate in JEN are not jazz specialists.
They are ensemble directors, music faculty, and program leaders who want to:
-
Create new opportunities for their students
-
Share their work with a broader audience
-
Bring fresh ideas back to their programs
JEN provides a welcoming space to do exactly that.
Membership Opens the Door
Participation in JEN programs and conference opportunities is connected to JEN membership.
Membership provides access to:
-
Conference participation and member rates
-
Student programs and honors ensembles
-
Educational resources and webinars
-
A national network of music educators
Membership starts at $125 per year.
