If you have ever created your own music in the moment - whether making up a song as you sing it, or inventing a melody on your instrument - you have stepped into the world of musical improvisation! Through the ImproTone Competition, we invite young musicians ages 7-27 to share their spontaneous creativity through video submissions.
All contestants will receive helpful and encouraging feedback from professional classical improvisers. Finalists will receive a special invitation to learn and perform at events in Prague. |

The competition encourages young musicians to explore this traditional musical field while supporting their artistic development and offering personal connection with a community of improvising musicians across the world. We believe that for many young artists, improvisation will become another way to express their musical talent as well as a valuable skill to support their performance and compositional abilities. |
