College Music Symposium: Reviews

David ThurmaierIt is my pleasure to welcome you to the Reviews component of the new Web-based Symposium. Our recent changes in format and production will allow us greater flexibility as well as the capability to react quickly to the latest trends and events happening in the music world.

The Reviews component will provide a comprehensive review of books, textbooks, periodicals, and instructional materials relevant to all fields served by the Society. In addition, we will take advantage of the multimedia capabilities of the Web and include graphics and sound in the reviews, which will give readers a better understanding of the reviewed works. And, I am excited to engage with members through commentary, discussion, and suggestions about the items we review.

I invite you to look at the Guidelines for Authors and the Call for Submissions to learn more about the Reviews component of Symposium. I also invite you to consider being a part of our review team.  The Call for Reviewers provides details.  Whenever you submit a review, we have an experienced editorial board from all areas of the Society to help evaluate your review.

Your submissions are welcome at any time. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
