What Can Your Regional Chapter Do For You?

Presenters: Dr. Keith Clifton, Central Michigan University, CMS Great Lakes Chapter President, and Dr. Jennifer Snodgrass, Appalachian State University, CMS National Vice President

The Regional Chapters within The College Music Society provide forums for the exchange of ideas on issues of local, regional, national, and international interest and concern. The Great Lakes, Great Plains, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Pacific Northwest, Pacific Southwest, Rocky Mountain, South Central, and Southern chapters provide the opportunity for interaction by members residing within these regions. The regional chapters are encouraged to engage in discussions on research, scholarship, teaching, and performance on the university, state, and regional level beyond just meeting at the regional conference. This webinar focuses on ways that individuals can become more involved in the regional chapter. Topics discussed include benefits of chapter activities; opportunities for service at the chapter level; chapter service as springboard for other opportunities within CMS and additional opportunities for growth, development, networking, exchange, and more.
