This webinar describes the goals, structure, and audience for an upcoming 2016 CMS Summit in Columbia, SC (June 3-5). In an era marked by technological change and a continuously shifting arts landscape, what should music programs in higher education do to best prepare students for 21st century realities? Providing a rare opportunity for faculty and administrators from a variety of disciplines and institutional models to share ideas and collaborate, this Summit considers 1) WHY we are here (purpose and objectives), 2) WHAT we should teach (curriculum and student experiences), and 3) HOW to make this happen (the process of change).
