Music and the Third Sector: The Role of the Non-governmental Organizations in Music and Education in Latin America
Non-Governmental Organizations or NGOs are today a recognized space where artistic and cultural production is supported in Latin American (United Nations, 2010). This webinar will provide its attendees with several examples of the practice and the frame of mind of NGOs working in Latin America. Both experiential and research-based ideas will be provided. Attendees to the webinar will become aware of the diverse and innovative ways in which cultural work in music is developed in Latin America and how it might have something to teach those working in North America.
