Student Sessions

CMS makes a concerted effort to encourage student participation during its national conference programs. The Program Committee is sensitive to the needs and concerns of the CMS student membership and, with the assistance of the CMS Student Advisory Council, has programmed the following presentations and events with student interest in mind:

Thursday, October 11

Student Welcome Luncheon
12 noon – 1:00 p.m.
Room TBA

Student members of all ages are invited to this informal luncheon hosted by the CMS Student Advisory Council and the CMS President. Whether you are new to CMS or this is your first national conference, you are sure to feel welcome. You’ll enjoy meeting other students from various institutions to enjoy a nourishing meal, network, and take a bit of down time in the middle of a busy day of conferencing. This reception is included with your conference registration, so there’s no additional fee; however, reservations are required. Registered student members should look for an invitation to arrive from the Student Advisory Council in mid-September. Be sure to RSVP!

Performances by Students & Recent Graduates
7:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Fairview V

Performers on this concert were selected via a special call and were paired with faculty mentors from within the CMS membership. The goal of this session is to give space for all CMS student members to come together and learn from, and with, a select group of performers as well as to extend the networking web facilitated by CMS.
