Guidelines for Poster Sessions

  • Poster spaces are pre-assigned. Please check in with conference registration desk personnel for assistance in locating your assigned display space.
  • Posters must be presented using the fabric poster boards provided by the conference. Presenters may not use their own self-contained displays or expand their assigned area with easels or furniture.
  • Each poster presenter is limited to a space measuring 46” high by 46” wide. The size constraint is important, as each poster board will be occupied by two presenters.
  • Posters are to be affixed using provided push-pins. The use of adhesive tape is not allowed.
  • Presenters may bring business cards or handouts to distribute during poster session.
  • If a laptop is required to provide supplementary audio/visual support for the poster, presenters must provide their own computer. Tables for laptops must be ordered Peter Park, CMS Director of Professional Activities, via email no later than Thursday, August 29. Access to electrical power is not guaranteed, so it is a good idea to make certain that batteries are well charged.
  • Internet connections will not be available for poster presentations. It is recommended that poster presenters download Web content to their laptop in advance whenever possible.
