March 20, 2020 Webinar

Additional Materials: View the Q&A from webinar attendees here

CMS colleagues Soo Goh (Assistant Professor of Clarinet, Appalachian State University), Alisha Nypaver (Assistant Professor of Music History, Temple University), and Steve Wilson (Dept. Chair, University of Texas—El Paso) share their experience regarding online learning platforms and alternative teaching strategies for these weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic. They are also joined by CMS President Eileen M. Hayes (Dean of Arts and Communication, University of Wisconsin—Whitewater), Secretary Michelle Kiec (Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts, Kutztown University, and President-Elect Mark Rabideau (Director of the 21st-Century Musician Initiative, DePauw University).

No one can or should be expected to become an overnight expert in online teaching and learning, so discussion—including attendees’ Q&A—focused on supporting colleagues' efforts while sharing practical and realistic solutions.
