Those who are attending the CMS National Conference for the first time, as well as all retired members of the organization, are encouraged to sign up for this special welcome reception. Hosted by the CMS Board of Directors, this event offers an opportunity to introduce yourself to other attendees, as well as to meet members of the CMS Board. As you make connections, you’ll be able to ask questions about what to expect from, and how to make the most of, your conference experience.
There is no additional fee to attend; however, a reservation is required in advance. All registrants who have self-identified as first-time attendees or retired registrants will receive a private invitation via email after registration closes. Please look for this Evite and be sure to respond to the instructions by the September 30 deadline.

Join your CMS colleagues at the end of our first conference weekend to share ideas and discuss common interests. During the event, you will engage in three discussion groups where you’ll meet new colleagues and catch up with longtime friends. Following three full days of thought-provoking plenaries, concerts, showcases and over 60 papers, posters, lecture-recitals, demonstrations, workshops and panels, we know you’ll have lots to discuss during this lively event.
Sunday, October 18
Join your colleagues to celebrate the end of the 2020 National Conference! Be sure to mix the official conference cocktail/mocktail during the break and bring it to the closing reception, where we’ll enjoy a snack, announce the winners of our conference game, receive a greeting and short musical interlude from Miami, hear about the 2021 National Conference in Rochester, NY, and meet with colleagues in breakout rooms.
