Travel Information

Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (IATA: ROC) is the main airport serving the Rochester area, connecting the city with more than 500 weekly flights to 19 non-stop destinations and major hubs with connections. Click here for a list of airlines that offer non-stop service to ROC. Please take care not to book your flight to RST by mistake, as you will end up in Rochester, Minnesota!

For those who prefer to travel by train, the downtown Amtrak station services east and westbound departures and arrivals daily.

Rochester is also within a day’s drive of ⅓ of the U.S. population, so some may prefer to drive. The city is easily accessible via the NYS Thruway (I-90), and the conference hotel is only a 20-minute drive from the Thruway exit.

The airport is conveniently located less than 15 minutes from downtown Rochester.

Hotel Shuttle: Although the Hyatt Regency Rochester has provided complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport, train, and bus stations in the past, this service is temporarily unavailable.

Rideshare services Lyft and Uber are available from the airport, and the pickup location at ROC is the Lower Arrivals Level, near the “B Entry” sign.

Alternatively, taxi fares between the airport and hotel are approximately $25 each way ($10 minimum), and the Taxi Cab Starter Booth is in front of the main terminal, center entrance way, lower level. Taxi fares between the train or bus station and hotel are approximately $8 each way.

The airport is also serviced by the Rochester Transit Service (RTS) throughout the day. Bus schedules are available at the Visitors Information Booth or can be viewed by visiting the RTS website. The bus shelter is located on lower level roadway, east end of airport. Current RTS Rates are currently $1.00 for a one-way journey.

Both valet and self-parking options are available at the Hyatt Regency Rochester. The current rate for valet service is $17/vehicle per night and the rate for self-park is $12/vehicle per night, which includes in-and-out privileges.

The Hyatt’s 1,300 spot garage may be utilized by non-hotel guests. Upon entering the parking garage, take a ticket and either pay at the exit with a credit card or utilize the payment kiosk located on level two, left of the elevators next to the hotel entrance to pay with cash.
