The College Music Society teamed up with the Alliance for the Transformation of Musical Academe to present ATMA's first symposium—April 16-18—as part of the CMS Webinar series. Created and facilitated by the ATMA Student Task Force, the event further evolved in collaboration with the CMS Student Advisory Council and exemplified the leadership capacities in the current generation of music students.
How is Music Conservatory Education Organized Today?
How the history of music conservatory education informs activist strategies for evolving music studies. This session explored how institutions can re-define musical excellence, support diverse artistic forms, and include marginalized voices.
