The CMS Committee on Career Development & Entrepreneurship facilitates the scheduling of mentorship sessions at each CMS National Conference, and CMS is pleased to announce openings for mentorship sessions during the 2023 National Conference in Miami, FL.
CMS mentorship sessions provide conference attendees with the chance to meet in person with experienced colleagues to discuss career questions and experiences in 45-minute, one-on-one sessions. Each CMS Mentor offers guidance in one or more of the following areas:
- Employment Search Strategies and Career Options
- Tenure and Promotion in Music Higher Education
- Non-Tenure Track Positions in the Academy
- Administrative Leadership Skills
- Organizational Change – Strategies and Resilience
- Networking and Interpersonal Dynamics
- Navigating Career Transitions
- Early-Career Challenges
- Achieving Equity in the Workplace
