CMS brings focus to the career development of its members, from student days through retirement, both inside higher education and outside the academy. CMS assists with employment seeking skills, leadership initiatives, financial planning, thriving in your career, and working as an independent musician or academic citizen.

Does CMS offer a list of employment opportunities for musicians?

Yes. CMS has been publishing its Music Vacancy List since the fall of 1973. It is available to CMS members 24/7 and is updated daily. It is sent to members each Friday.

How do I post a job opening online?

Does CMS offer other CMS career development activities?

Yes. CMS has five committees that bring focus to the career development of its members, and offer opportunities to understand the music field and hone essential career skills.  These include committees that serve
