Purpose: Dedicated to inspiring young artists for America's future, NFAA's mission is to identify emerging artists and assist them at critical junctures in their educational and professional development. NFAA's core program, youngARTS, contributes to the cultural vitality of the nation by investing in the artistic development of thousands of gifted artists in cinematic arts, dance, jazz, music, photography, theater, visual arts, voice and writing. youngARTS is open to high school seniors and other 17 and 18-year-old artists in the performing, literary and visual arts. Finalists share in an awards package valued up to $900,000, including more than $500,000 in cash awards, $3 million in scholarship opportunities and the chance to be named a Presidential Scholar in the Arts. |
