Please note: Registration for the pre-conference event is separate from conference registration.  Select the registration button on this page (upper left) to register for the CMS Louisville Experience.

Join colleagues on Wednesday, October 23, in advance of the 2019 National Conference, for a half-day, scenic, cultural, and historical experience in downtown Louisville!

First, around 11:15 am, we’ll walk 0.4 mile from the Hyatt Regency to the river bank to enjoy a two-hour lunch and river cruise on the MV Mary Miller, seeing the Ohio River and Louisville waterfront from aboard ship. Then we’ll walk 0.5 mile to the downtown Frazier Museum for a private lecture by CMS colleague Jay Grymes about the Violins of Hope, a collection of instruments from the Holocaust. University of Louisville student musicians will perform brief excerpts on the instruments as part of Jay’s demonstration. Then we’ll walk 0.1 mile to the Muhammad Ali Center for a docent-led orientation and self-guided tour, including up to an hour of private access to the center. Finally, we’ll walk 0.4 mile back to the Hyatt Regency for the opening CMS “Regiception” in progress.

This will be a great chance to share unique experiences with colleagues from CMS, all in walking distance from our Louisville hotel, at a per person cost of only $89. Update: Registration for this event has been extended to Monday, October 7.
