The College Music Society recently launched a video site on YouTube located at http://www.youtube.com/collegemusicsociety1. The Video Publications Subcommittee – Juan Chattah (University of Miami), Steven Kreinberg (Temple University), and Matthew Shaftel (Florida State University) – seeks video footage from members who have material they believe would be of interest to other CMS members related to CMS professional activities, conferences, and events.
Submitted videos should be informative and engaging to watch (preferably not just "talking heads"), and of high video and audio quality. All videos will be reviewed by at least one CMS subject-matter expert, identified through the CMS Rosters of Officers and Committees, whose professional expertise is closely related to the video topic. The CMS Video Publications Editor along with the Video Publications Subcommittee will make the final determination regarding which videos will be posted and for how long. These steps shall ensure a peer-reviewed process of screening for appropriate video content that is of a high quality.
