“Nutrition for the Performing Arts” - Performing artists have difficult schedules that evolve around rehearsals and performances, often making it difficult to have eating plans that optimize health, appearance, and physiological functioning. This is made more complex by the prevalence of myth-based eating strategies that are often counterproductive in helping achieve the desired outcomes. This presentation will focus on the common restraints to good nutritional habits that performing artists often experience, with strategies that can help performing artists achieve good health, a desired appearance and, ultimately, a long, happy, and successful performing career.
