2023 National Conference
Each year, I’ve taken a reprieve from authoring the newsletter during the month of our national conference, sending only the message “See you in INSERT LOCATION.”
In June and July of this year, I grappled with the complexities of hosting conferences in states that lean contrary to our values of equity and inclusion. As such, writing the short quip, “See you in Miami,” feels wrong knowing that for many of our members Florida is simply not safe.
I will see more than 400 of you in Florida, however, I want to acknowledge that many prized colleagues and friends are unable to join us.
Your voices will be missed. You will be missed.
