Welcome to the Northeast Chapter of the College Music Society! Our vibrant chapter is made up of music educators, researchers, performers, composers, students, and enthusiasts from Connecticut, Delaware, Main, the Maritime Provinces, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
Our members develop a strong sense of community and share their diverse musical interests each spring at our Northeast chapter conference. Our annual conference features presentations, papers, poster sessions, panels, lecture-recitals, performances, and a concert devoted to new music by CMS composers. The event also includes a keynote presentation, business meeting, food, and fellowship! Dedicated to nurturing the next generation of music scholars and creators, we welcome student involvement at our conferences, and we are proud to offer student support with the Diane W. Follet Outstanding Student Scholarship Award.
We hope that you will continue to be—or begin to become—involved in our Chapter, and we invite you to our experience our next conference in March 2025. You are invited to submit a proposal, and we hope you encourage your colleagues and students to do the same!
