Regarding the last event mentioned above, please join us for this Student Panel Discussion, “Emerging from the Academy: Preparing Students to Navigate Music Careers in the 21st Century.” We would greatly appreciate your input as we consider the following during this session:
- How do students make the most of networking opportunities both virtually and in person?
- How can students establish a strong online presence in an increasingly noisy environment?
- How can students connect their musical or pedagogical practices to the needs of their community?
- What can be done to provide support for students whose gender, race, or identity may inherently or systemically pose additional obstacles to career development or networking?
Your voice is very important to CMS. Please plan to attend and participate in this discussion.
Thank you and safe travels to you.
Dr. Gene S. Trantham & Dr. Patricia Burt (co-chairs of the CMS Student Advisory Council)
